Abbey Clancy admits she gets 'jealous' when women message her about 'fit' Peter Crouch

Abbey Clancy has jokingly referred to her husband Peter Crouch as a "mediocre footballer".

The former England striker and Stoke City player agreed he was a "bang average footballer, who did a silly dance who looked weird."

The endearing interaction took place on the couple's podcast, The Therapy Crouch, and Abbey, 37, went on to reassure her husband, 42, he didn't look weird.

The clip was shared on the podcast's Instagram page, and began with Abbey describing Peter as a "mediocre footballer", before telling him that "loads of" women message her on Instagram saying Pete is so fit, and she gets jealous.

She then relayed that the women are in their seventies.

Speaking about his looks, the 6ft 7in ex sportsman said: "I think I have got better with age. I was a gawp let's be honest. And I think I did look different and I think that makes me stand out."

"You don't look different, your height is different, your face doesn't look different to a normal person's," Abbey said to Peter's amusement.

The hilarious clip came after the couple, who wed in 2011, joked about their sex life, when a listener to their podcast asked: "My partner and I have been seeing each other for about five years now. Initially our sex life was amazing and we couldn't keep our hands off each other.

But naturally as the years have gone by things have started to slow down a bit. This has gotten worse over the past six months and we are lucky if we get it on once every couple of weeks."

Abbey quipped in reply: "That sounds bloody fine. I think he's lucky, him", much to Peter's amusement.

The former striker, 42, then joked that the anonymous listener was actually him.

"Peter, 42, from Surrey is that," the day-of-four laughed.

Abbey continued: "I think he should grow up, once every two weeks, what's he complaining about!"

Peter added: "Oh My God he's getting action all over the shop!"

Peter and Abbey's new podcast comes as the model is reportedly set to make her return to TV presenting in the coming months, with her said to have been chosen to front a new interior design show for ITV.

Abbey has previously hosted shows like Britain's Next Top Model. She fronted three cycles from 2013 to 2017, after having been runner-up on the show in 2006.

It is understood that Abbey will return to TV for an upcoming interior design show, with her said to be filming the six-part series over the summer.

A source told the Sun : "Abbey has been making waves on her podcast with Peter and now she's forging a path solo on the box." They went on to discuss the show itself.

The source said the show will follow Abbey as she meets other women with a passion for interior design. They added that she is "hugely passionate" about interiors herself.
