Abbey Clancy shaves off half of Peter Crouch’s moustache live on Good Morning Britain

Good Morning Britain hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid spoke to former England striker Peter Crouch on Monday's show alongside his wife, model Abbey Clancy.

Peter showed off the moustache he had grown for charity during Movember, but the hosts pointed out the month was pretty much over and so it might be time to shave it off.

Abbey, who revealed she hated the moustache after learning how much bacteria they could harbour, then surprised Peter with a razor - and took off half of the 'tache.

"Do you like that 'tache?" asked Piers.

Peter laughed it off as he spent the rest of the interview with a dodgy look (ITV)

Abbey replied:  "I actually really liked it until I found this statistic that a man's beard contains more bacteria than a whole dog.'

Susanna asked: "Have you stopped kissing him?"

"I haven't kissed him for months!" laughed Abbey.

Peter responded: "She loves it really, she's telling porkies.

"It's for a great cause, it's for men's health!"

Noting the date, Piers asked: Is it coming off today?"

"I believe so," said Peter, as Abbey then unleashed her razor and started trying to get to Peter's face but he batted her away.

Piers and Susanna begged Abbey to shave it off live on air, but Peter only allowed his wife to shave off the left side.

The conversation then turned to Strictly, as GMB host Ranvir Singh is currently taking part on the show.

Susanna asked: "Let's talk to another winner... Abbey Clancy, winner of Strictly Come Dancing 2013.

"What does Ranvir need to do to win?"

"Just keep enjoying it, that was my motto. I loved every second of it," said Abbey.

"You were the worst victim of the curse because you stayed with your husband!" joked Piers.

"You haven't seen me dance Piers!" laughed Peter.
