Abba's Bjorn drops hint about third Mamma Mia! film - with new songs

A third instalment of Mamma Mia! is 'not being ruled out' by Abba musician Bjorn Ulvaeus.

He has said that plans to produce Mamma Mia! 3 are 'being looked into' and that the iconic Swedish pop group could release some new songs to be used in it.

Bjorn has revealed that Abba have recorded new material and the creation of the third Mamma Mia! would be the ideal time to release it.

The Swedish musician spoke to presenter Richard Allinson for Magic Radio and said that fans would have to be patient in the wait for new Abba tracks.

He said: "There will be a new song, a couple of new songs coming. But I've been saying this for such a long time. I'm not saying when any more.

"I'm just saying we have them and they will be released eventually."

As well as new music to look forward to, Bjorn spoke about the beginnings of Mamma Mia! for a third time.

He said: "If someone comes up with an idea for Mamma Mia! 3 you know I'll have a look at it. We'll have a look at it."

Abba fans across the globe will no doubt be keeping their fingers crossed that ideas will come flooding in to get the second sequel underway.

Bjorn can be heard on Magic Radio on Sunday from 7pm.
