A building has been demolished to make way for a plush new housing estate in West Lothian.
West Lothian Council approved the application from the developers JR Construction (Scotland) Ltd on October 1 at Almondvale Gardens in Blackburn.
The site is bound to the north, west and south by existing private housing, and is the former Adult Training Centre and offices, which has subsequently been vacated and demolished.
In total there will be seven homes built at the site, with 16 new parking spaces on offer.
The site is located in the south east of Blackburn and lies immediately to the north of East Main Street with access via Almondvale Gardens.

On the opposite side of Almondvale Gardens there is a sheltered housing complex run by Bield Housing Association.
There are frequent bus services along East Main Street which provide continual connections to Livingston in order to access wider areas of the country.
There are a variety of local amenities in close proximity including Blackburn Primary School, Church, Bowling Club and local shops.
Vehicular access to the site should be taken from a single access point on Almondvale Gardens, which is an adopted road.
The existing footpath on the west side of the road will require to be upgraded to adoptable standards and continued up to the access point.
The developers say the properties will be suited to people from various demographics.
They said: “The types of housing provided ensure that a variety of demographics and particular needs can be accommodated, adding to the richness of the development. In this regard, dwellings are designed to meet the requirements of Housing for Varying Needs, with the overall housing mix comprising mainstream family housing, amenity properties for ambulant disabled or elderly residents, and fully equipped wheelchair units.”
