"Ab Siraj se...": Anushka Sharma, Shraddha Kapoor posts after Mohammed Siraj's fiery spell in Asia Cup final

NEW DELHI: Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj bowled a devastating spell in which he took four wickets in the fourth over en route to a career-best 6/21 to help India bowl out Sri Lanka for a paltry 50 in the final to clinch their eighth Asia Cup title.

It took just 2 hours and 26 minutes for India to finish the game which started at 3.40 pm and ended at 6.06 pm with only 129 deliveries being bowled in the ODI clash, thanks to Siraj's magical bowling in the title clash R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

It is the third shortest ODI in terms of balls bowled and India's biggest win after considering the deliveries remaining (263) in the game.

Bollywood stars Anushka Sharma, also Virat Kohli's wife, and Shraddha Kapoor took to Instagram stories and posted special messages for Siraj.

"Kya baat hai miyan. Magic" Anushka wrote on her Instagram stories.

With the match ending in just 2 hours, Shraddha wrote: "Ab Siraj se hi pucho iss free time ke saath kya karein".

Siraj donated his player-of-the-match cash prize of USD 5,000 to the Sri Lankan groundstaff who worked tirelessly through the rain-hit Asia Cup.

"This cash prize goes to the groundsmen. They deserve it fully, this tournament wouldn't have been possible without them," Siraj said at the post-match presentation.
