Aaron Wan-Bissaka tipped for Manchester United transfer by former coach

Aaron Wan-Bissaka would be the perfect fit for a move to Manchester United, according to the player's former youth coach.

The right-back has been a star performer for Crystal Palace throughout the season and is now being linked with a high-profile summer move following his breakthrough campaign.

United are in the market to bolster their defensive options at the end of the season and could look to sign a new full-back with current club captain Antonio Valencia set to leave in the summer.

Wan-Bissaka fits the criteria of young homegrown talent which United are looking to target in the transfer market and Colin Omogbehin, who was his former coach at Junior Elite, believes a switch to Old Trafford would be perfect for him.

“I look at Manchester United who are on the up,” he told  The Sun .

“They have a youngish squad and he’d fit into the way they want to play.

“In Ole Gunnar Solskjaer there is a good young boss who has a history of dealing with young players.

“When Ole retired from playing he worked with United’s younger squads, so will know how to bring through players of Aaron’s type.

“That would be perfect for him. He’d play every week – or certainly get a lot of games to keep developing.

“The thing I am surprised about is he ended up as a right-back.

“I always thought he’d end up as an attacking player.”
