Aaron Wan-Bissaka shows why he has earned nickname in Man Utd training

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is already showing off his nickname at Manchester United in his first week with his new teammates.

The England Under-21s defender has joined up with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's squad for their pre-season tour in Perth.

United play their first match against Perth Glory on Saturday and the £50m defender will hope to be involved.

And it appears Wan-Bissaka is already catching the eye with some impressive performances in training.

United posted video footage of their session in Australia on social media, showing Wan-Bissaka making an excellent tackle on Juan Mata.

It offered further explanation to his 'Spider' nickname that he revealed upon his move to Old Trafford.

After completing his switch from Crystal Palace , he said: "“The Spider' is about the range and length of my legs when I'm lunging to tackle the ball.

"That's where the nickname comes from.”

Wan-Bissaka showed the range of his legs in the training clip with the nickname likely to stick around for some time.

Meanwhile, Scott McTominay has revealed how Wan-Bissaka and fellow Manchester United new boy Daniel James have settled in during pre-season.

"They are young boys, aren't they, so it is easy for them to come in, settle in and be part of the group straight away. You can see that with the pair of them," he said.

"It's the biggest move for any young player who is playing in the Premier League or Championship, or coming from a different country.

"They are both very nice boys and very hard-working boys as well. That is one thing that will be demanded of them on this pre-season trip. It is important that we do get that bond."
