Aaron Wan-Bissaka sends emotional message to Crystal Palace fans after joining Man United

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has left.

But he hasn't done so without saying goodbye to the Crystal Palace supporters.

The academy product's £50m transfer to Manchester United was officially confirmed on Saturday afternoon thus bringing an end to much speculation regarding his future.

Wan-Bissaka has put pen to paper on a long-term contract at Old Trafford and sat down for his first interview as an United player shortly after the announcement was made.

"It’s an unbelievable feeling and an honour to call myself a Manchester United player and something I know that only a small number of players have the privilege to say," he said. "I can’t wait to get going and integrated into the squad.

"I will have a short break now after the European Championships but I’m looking forward to starting training with the manager and my new team-mates on the pre-season tour."

Not one to forget the team who made this all possible, Wan-Bissaka uploaded a video on social media and sent a message to all connected to the Eagles.

"I can't thank everyone at Crystal Palace enough," he tweeted. "I've been at the club for 11 years and grown up there so I will never forget my roots and the support I've had from fans, players, staff.

"Thank you to everyone."

As fate would have it, Wan-Bissaka could come against his former club on August 24 when Palace visit Old Trafford in their third Premier League game of the new season.

His first return to Selhurst Park in pencilled in for May 2, 2020.
