Aaron Wan-Bissaka's Manchester United squad number confirmed

New Manchester United signing Aaron Wan-Bissaka has had his squad number confirmed.

The right-back signed for United this past Saturday after weeks of speculation, as the club finally managed to come to an agreement with Crystal Palace and pay a £45million, rising up to £50million, transfer fee.

Wan-Bissaka has signed a five-year deal at Old Trafford, with an option for a further year, and he may well be United's solution to a troublesome position for seasons to come.

The 21-year-old has taken the No.29 shirt, the same number he wore in his 46 appearances for the Eagles, after rising through the academy and breaking into the team last year.

Wan-Bissaka, who started his career as a striker, emerged as one of the most defensively sound full-backs in the Premier League last season.

He was named Palace's Player of the Year and his consistent level of performance convinced United to splash the cash on the defender.

"It’s an unbelievable feeling and an honour to call myself a Manchester United player," Wan-Bissaka said on signing for the club.

"Something I know that only a small number of players have the privilege to say.

“I can’t wait to get going and integrated into the squad. I will have a short break now after the European Championships but I’m looking forward to starting training with the manager and my new team-mates on the pre-season tour.”

Other new signing Daniel James will wear the No.21.
