Aaron Wan-Bissaka pictured in a Man Utd shirt as he closes in on £55m transfer

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is close to sealing a move to Manchester United.

The Crystal Palace right-back is wanted by the Red Devils in a big-money move as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's latest signing.

A picture has now emerged via The Sun showing a young Wan-Bissaka wearing a United shirt as a child.

The south Londoner grew up supporting the Red Devils, along with his older brother, Kevin, also seen wearing a United shirt in the snap as he sits on mum Elizabeth's knee and poses with dad Ambroise.

Wan-Bissaka has been the target of plenty of interest from United after his impressive Premier League campaign for Palace and it appears he may struggle to turn down a dream switch.

He has been away on England Under 21 duty during a disappointing European Championship, during which he scored a last-gasp own goal in the opening game.

He is reportedly set for a medical when he returns from Italy later this week with the two clubs agreeing a £55m fee.

An initial bid of £50m was rejected by the Eagles but if terms have been agreed, Wan-Bissaka would seemingly have a tough time rejecting his boyhood club.

The 21-year-old is set to put pen to paper with the Red Devils before jetting off for a short break to recharge the batteries and prepare to link up with his new club for pre-season.

His England boss, Aidy Boothroyd, recently admitted his head had been turned by interest from one of the world's biggest clubs.

“When that speculation is flying around it is bound to turn your head,” Boothroyd said.

“For a young player who all he knows is Crystal Palace academy, Crystal Palace first team it would be daft not to say that in some way he must think about it.

“I would not be truthful if I told you anything other than that.

“I think when you are nearly going to move and all the things that would go through an older person’s head, who is more experienced in life, it would be difficult for them to cope with.

"What I will say is because he doesn’t say too much you don’t get to find out too much. Aaron keeps things to himself. He is a very private guy.

“But having said all of that had he not scored the own goal we probably would be having this conversation.”
