Aaron Wan-Bissaka injury update after Man Utd defender pulls out of England squad

Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka may feature in their next clash with Leicester .

Wan-Bissaka, 21, was forced out of the England squad with a back problem as he awaits his first senior international appearance.

The young defender joined United in a £50m deal from Crystal Palace this summer and has featured in all four of them Premier League matches to date.

Wan-Bissaka has returned to Old Trafford for treatment on the back problem, before United make a decision on his fitness for the clash with high-flying Leicester.

The Telegraph reports Wan-Bissaka may be able to play on with the injury, as long as United's medical staff manage it between matches.

The defender was in line for his debut against Bulgaria or Kosovo, but England's medics decided it was not worth risking him in either of the matches.

Gareth Southgate opted against recalling Kyle Walker for the Euro 2020 qualifiers, with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Kieran Trippier both in the squad.

Wan-Bissaka has had a good start to life at Old Trafford, with Manchester United winning one of their first four matches.

Discussing his first few months with the club, the defender said: "The older players help me a lot. Paul Pogba has advised me a lot.

"That first game in Perth, he was telling me the same thing everyone has: you're here for a reason, play your game, play without fear, get up and down - that's what I put into my head.”

“I'm new to Manchester, but it's a nice area and I've settled now. I've made sure I kept my shirt from the Chelsea game, so that'll be getting framed and going up on the wall at home."
