Aaron Wan-Bissaka identifies where he can improve for Manchester United

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has said one of the reasons he joined Manchester United was so that he could improve the attacking aspect of his game.

Wan-Bissaka has won plaudits for his defensive displays for the Reds since the beginning of the season but his offensive play for much of the campaign has not been quite as impressive.

However, that changed at the weekend as he stood up an inviting cross from which Marcus Rashford converted United's third goal against Newcastle.

"United have more of the ball, I'll be getting more of the ball [than at Palace], so on the ball I will have to change, improve," Wan-Bissaka told Mail Online.

"Joining in the counter attacks, because we have a lot of them, overlapping more, things like that.

"That's why I came to this team because I thought they could improve me as a player."

Wan-Bissaka also verified former United player Darren Fletcher's recent claim that he had heard from inside the Reds camp that the former Crystal Palace man is yet to be dribbled past in training.

"I would say so yeah, from what I can remember," Wan-Bissaka said when asked if what Fletcher said was true.

"I can see the frustration but with them I can also see that they are not giving up. They still want to keep trying until they do (get past) and that's the thing that gets me going, team-mates testing me. It helps me."
