Aaron Wan-Bissaka explains why Man Utd's loss to Arsenal was "strange"

Aaron Wan-Bissaka admits he is struggling to understand why Manchester United are “winning every game away from home", yet they "can’t get a result at Old Trafford”.

United's only home win of the campaign came against RB Leipzig last week, with United emerging 5-0 victors after a dominant performance.

Their home form in the Premier League this season makes for bleak reading, with three losses and one draw so far and an aggregate score of 10-2 in the away team's favour.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils have won each of their away games across all competitions, a run which includes an impressive victory at Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has blamed the poor home run on the lack of fans, but Wan-Bissaka is puzzled by recent results.

“It’s strange we’re winning every game away from home and we can’t get a result at Old Trafford,” Wan-Bissaka told MUTV .

“The performance was different [to the win over Leipzig], but as you could see in the second half, we came out with a different mentality and we wanted to create chances. It’s just about taking them.

“Getting clear chances isn’t easy for both sides. It’s just about making them and taking them.”

United were beaten 1-0 by Arsenal as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang netted a penalty in the 69th minute on Sunday night.

Wan-Bissaka admitted going behind in the second half was a major blow to his side as he assessed the display.

“It’s not easy after a goal goes in. The main thing is to stick together and keep going. That’s all we did,” said the England right-back.

The 22-year-old added: “It’s a disappointing result. To come out on the pitch second half and put all that effort in and not to come out with a result,"

“We come out every game with the mentality to win and put in a good performance but we’ve got to learn from it and put it right in the next game.”
