Aaron Wan-Bissaka: Crystal Palace star clarifies future amid Manchester United interest

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has committed his future to Crystal Palace despite Manchester United showing interest ahead of a summer move.

The right-back has enjoyed a breakthrough season at Selhurst Park, thriving under Roy Hodgson.

But despite the 21-year-old being identified as an upgrade on Ashley Young, Wan-Bissaka is committed to Palace and sees himself back with the Eagles next season.

“The situation just shows that my performances don’t go unnoticed,” Wan-Bissaka told Standard Sport.

“But I am with Crystal Palace at the moment. That is where my contract is and that is where I will be next season.

“I have got three years left on my contract. It says I am going to be there, so that is all I can focus on now.”

Wan-Bissaka’s progress was acknowledged at Palace’s end-of-season awards.

He scooped both Player of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season as his excellent performances were recognised.

Wan-Bissaka, who attracted 59 percent of the fan vote, admitted he is now looking to add goals and assists to his game.

Despite proving to be an attack-minded full-back, he has failed to score this season, though he has contributed three assists in 37 games in all competitions.
