Aaron Rodgers was PFF’s highest-graded QB in Week 7

Remember in 2015, when Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers threw five touchdown passes against the Kansas City Chiefs but still received a negative overall grade from Pro Football Focus?

The analytics site didn’t repeat that mistake.

Rodgers was the NFL’s highest-graded quarterback after throwing five touchdown passes and running for another during the Packers’ 42-24 win over the Oakland Raiders in Week 7.

According to PFF, Rodgers had four “big-time throws” and zero “turnover-worthy” plays against the Raiders.

It was a historic day for Rodgers, who completed over 80 percent of his passes, averaged a career-high 13.8 yards per attempt and finished with a perfect 158.3 passer rating. He completed passes to eight different receivers, with six catching a pass of at least 20 yards and five hauling in touchdowns.

“I think this was the most complete that I’ve played,” Rodgers said Sunday. “I felt good about the timing. There were a lot of balls thrown on time and obviously the line played fantastic.”

Rodgers is now PFF’s second-highest graded quarterback overall this season, with the highest passing grade and sixth-highest running grade. He’s played the last three games without top receiver Davante Adams.
