Aaron Rodgers throws 3 TD passes, Packers lead 21-10 over Raiders at halftime

The Green Bay Packers used three touchdown passes from quarterback Aaron Rodgers to race out to a 21-10 lead over the Oakland Raiders on Sunday at Lambeau Field.

Rodgers hit Aaron Jones, Jamaal Williams and Jake Kumerow for scores in the first half. Through two quarters, Rodgers has completed 15 of 19 passes for 201 yards. His passer rating is 150.3.

He’s done it all without Davante Adams, who is missing his third straight game. Marquez Valdes-Scantling has played only sporadically.

Without his top two receivers, Rodgers has completed eight passes to running backs and fullbacks for 90 yards and two scores.

Jones caught a 21-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter. He spun back inside on a corner route to snag Rodgers’ throw in the end zone.

Williams added a second score in the second quarter when he raced open into the flat and found the end zone from two yards out.

Kumerow produced the final score. He got open down the far sideline and then tight-roped the boundary as he extended for the end zone, completing a 37-yard touchdown with 12 seconds left in the first half.

Overall, the Packers have four passing plays over 20 yards. Rodgers is averaging 10.6 yards per attempt and 13.4 yards per completion.

Fullback Danny Vitale leads the team in receiving yards with 43. He has two of the team’s four catches over 20 yards. Geronimo Allison, who passed concussion protocol to play Sunday, has a team-high four catches.

The Raiders have held leads of 3-0 and 10-7 but now trail 21-10 to start the second half. Rodgers and the Packers will have the football to start the third quarter.
