Matt Nagy has watched the game film of Mitch Trubisky chugging a beer — the strangely de rigueur stunt for quarterbacks this offseason — during Friday’s White Sox game.
His verdict: Kyle Long was more efficient, but Trubisky, who sat next to the Bears guard in the luxury box, held his own.
“That was impressive,” the Bears coach said after Wednesday’s organized team activity practice. “Mitch did a good job. He’s obviously at the age where he can do that. But the chugging, not to promote it, but I was proud of him. He aced the test.”
The chugging shenanigans started when Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers couldn’t finish a full glass during a Bucks’ playoff game last month. The next day, Matthew Stafford’s wife posted a video of the Lions quarterback downing a beer while watching the Bucks on television.

Rodgers seemed to take a shot at both Trubisky and Stafford when asked about the drinking contest Wednesday.
“As far as those other guys,” Rodgers told reporters, smirking. “For some of them, there’s finally a talent where they can say they’re better than me at.”
