Aaron Rodgers says ‘I don’t know, we’ll see’ about future with Packers

For years, Aaron Rodgers has made life difficult for Bears fans. Which is why these last few months — between drafting Justin Fields and Rodgers wanting out of Green Bay — have been quite enjoyable.

The talk of the NFL offseason continues to be the future of Rodgers with the Packers as tensions continue to mount between him and the front office. And things only get more serious by the day as training camp approaches.

Rodgers participated in The Match on Tuesday, along with Tom Brady, who had some fun teasing Rodgers about his future. And while we knew we weren’t going to get a definitive answer, we knew that Rodgers was going to be asked directly about whether he’d be suiting up for Green Bay in Week 1.

When asked about his future with the Packers by TNT’s Brian Anderson, Rodgers gave the kind of answer that surely has Bears fans smiling as Packers fans continue to suffer.

“Yeah, I don’t know, BA, we’ll see,” he said. “We’ll see, won’t we?”

While Rodgers didn’t say no, he didn’t say yes either. And it didn’t help that cameras caught him grinning in the process, as he’s certainly having fun with the situation, whatever his decision winds up being. Rodgers could very well be content with hanging up his cleats. Or the Packers might eventually be forced to trade him, perhaps to the Broncos. Or he might return to the Packers, although that feels like the least likely scenario right now.

The fact that nothing has really progressed in this saga is certainly good news for Bears fans about a potential exit for Rodgers from Green Bay.
