Aaron Rodgers’s All-Time Playoff Record Ahead of Steelers’ Wild-Card Game

Aaron Rodgers, the four-time MVP and one-time Super Bowl champion, will wrap up his 21st NFL season with a playoff appearance.

Now, in his first season with the Steelers, Rodgers will compete in his 13th postseason thanks to Pittsburgh capturing the final AFC playoff spot with a win over the Ravens on Sunday night.

As previously mentioned, Rodgers does have one Super Bowl title under his belt, but how has he performed in the playoffs throughout his career? Here’s a look at Rodgers’s all-time playoff record.

Aaron Rodgers’s playoff record heading into 2025 postseason with Steelers

The Packers went to the playoffs in the 2007 season, but Rodgers didn’t play a postseason snap as he was still sitting under Brett Favre in that time, so this list conveys Rodgers’s record when he started the game. All of Rodgers’s postseason appearances so far happened when he was with the Packers for 18 seasons. Rodgers’s upcoming playoff game with Pittsburgh will be his first postseason appearance in a uniform other than the Packers' green and gold.

Season Playoff Game Opponent Result Overall Record
2009 Wild Card Cardinals Loss, 51–45 0-1
2010 Wild Card Eagles Win, 21–16 1-1
2010 Divisional Falcons Win, 48–21 2-1
2010 NFC Championship Bears Win, 21–14 3-1
2010 Super Bowl Steelers Win, 31–25 4-1
2011 Divisional Giants Loss, 37–20 4-2
2012 Wild Card Vikings Win, 24–10 5-2
2012 Divisional 49ers Loss, 45–31 5-3
2013 Wild Card 49ers Loss, 23–20 5-4
2014 Divisional Cowboys Win, 26-21 6-4
2014 NFC Championship Seahawks Loss, 28–22 6-5
2015 Wild Card Washington Win, 35–18 7-5
2015 Divisional Cardinals Loss, 26–20 7-6
2016 Wild Card Giants Win, 38–13 8-6
2016 Divisional Cowboys Win, 34–31 9-6
2016 NFC Championship Falcons Loss, 44–21 9-7
2019 Divisional Seahawks Win, 28–23 10-7
2019 NFC Championship 49ers Loss, 37–20 10-8
2020 Divisional Rams Win, 32–18 11-8
2020 NFC Championship Buccaneers Loss, 31–26 11-9
2021 Divisional 49ers Loss, 13–10 11-10

Through 21 playoff game appearance, Rodgers has posted an 11–10 record.

The Texans, who the Steelers play on Monday night in the wild-card round, are a new playoff opponent for Rodgers. He’ll be looking to give Pittsburgh its first postseason win since the 2016 season. This is the Steelers’ sixth playoff appearance since that season, but the team has failed to capture a win in that span.

This year could very well be Rodgers’s last playoff appearance as his status for the 2026 season is still unknown. The 42-year-old could retire in the coming months, or he could attempt to return either to the Steelers or for another team next season. Even if he does play another year, there’s no guarantee that Rodgers’s team will make the playoffs. The Steelers narrowly made it, so there’s never a 100% chance, even with a legendary quarterback like Rodgers on the roster.
