Aaron Rodgers’ Happy Gilmore-themed costume was absolutely spot on

By now, we should know that Aaron Rodgers puts his heart and soul into every costume he wears. It’s been that way for the past seven years at the Green Bay Packers’ annual “Welcome Back Luncheon” — an event that the quarterbacks attend in costume.

This year, though, may have been Rodgers’ best outfit yet.

On Wednesday, the Packers quarterbacks showed up to the event wearing Happy Gilmore-themed costumes. Tim Boyle was Happy; Manny Wilkins was the caddie; DeShone Kizer was Chubbs Peterson — missing hand and all.

But Rodgers’ costume — Hal L. from the retirement home — was absolutely phenomenal. The mustache makes perfect sense now.

Just for comparison’s sake, this was Ben Stiller’s Hal L. in the Adam Sandler film.

Rodgers even thought to include the keys hanging from the belt and a similar watch. That’s the attention to detail you’d expect from an All-Pro quarterback.

Rodgers had that costume nailed.
