Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is no longer the NFL’s all-time leader in passer rating.
In fact, he dropped from first to third in the span of four days.
The new record holder is Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who – with 33 attempts in the first half of Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers – now has the 1,500 career passing attempts needed to qualify for all-time records.
Coming into Sunday, Mahomes had a career passer rating of 110.3, far and away the best mark in league history.
Rodgers was also recently passed by Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson, who now has a career passer rating of 103.5 after posting a 150.5 passer rating during the Texans’ win over the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving Day.
Rodgers has a career passer rating of 103.1.
Mahomes also claimed Rodgers’ record for the best touchdown-to-interception ratio of all-time.
Rodgers still has the highest single-season passer rating of all-time at 122.5, set during the 2011 season.
Mahomes and Watson were the second and third quarterbacks taken in the 2017 NFL draft, respectively, behind only Mitchell Trubisky, who the Chicago Bears traded up to select at No. 2 overall.
