Aaron Rodgers, David Bakhtiari return to Packers practice Monday

The Green Bay Packers returned quarterback Aaron Rodgers and left tackle David Bakhtiari to practice Monday, the team’s final public practice of training camp.

Rodgers missed Sunday’s practice as a continued precautionary measure against the back tightness he dealt with last week. Bakhtiari was excused from the practice for a personal matter.

The Packers play the Oakland Raiders on Thursday night in Winnipeg.

GM Brian Gutekunst is expecting Rodgers – who hasn’t participated during the preseason – to play against the Raiders.

“The plan is to get him out there Thursday night,” Gutekunst said Monday.

If all goes well Monday and over the next few days, Rodgers should make his preseason debut in Canada – providing a first-time opportunity to operate Matt LaFleur’s offense in a game environment.

The Packers were planning on Rodgers playing against the Baltimore Ravens last Thursday night, but he experienced tightness in his back on Wednesday and was scratched from the game.

The Packers were without tight end Jimmy Graham to begin Monday’s practice, but Gutekunst revealed that his finger injury – suffered during Sunday’s practice – isn’t likely serious.

“I think we might’ve escaped one there,” Gutekunst said.

All practices after Monday will be closed to the public.
