Aaron Rodgers, Davante Adams both post photos from ‘The Last Dance’ on Instagram

Late on Friday night, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and receiver Davante Adams both dropped another cryptic clue about their uncertain futures on social media.

Rodgers and Adams posted the same photo of Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen from promos for “The Last Dance” documentary on their respective Instagram accounts.

The simple explanation could be that Rodgers and Adams are both preparing for one last season together in Green Bay, knowing their paths are still aligned but will diverge in some major way following the 2021 season.

Rodgers has been engaged in a long dispute with the Packers this offseason and may not want to continue his career in Green Bay. Adams, on the other hand, has ended contract negotiations with the Packers entering a contract year.

The photo posted from both accounts could mean something or it could mean nothing.

“The Last Dance” documented the final season of the Chicago Bulls dynasty. Jordan and Pippen were both gone from Chicago following a title season in 1996-97. It could be a fitting analogy for the situation Rodgers and Adams are currently in with the Packers.

Other explanations include a troll job by the two players or an acknowledgment from the two players that they’ve already had their own last dance.

Soon, the guessing will end and answers will come. And maybe the drama will subside. The annual shareholders meeting is Monday, and Packers veterans report for training camp on Tuesday. The first practice is Wednesday.
