Aaron Rodgers, Bryson DeChambeau beat Tom Brady, Phil Mickelson in ‘The Match’

Aaron Rodgers earned a tiny slice of revenge from Tom Brady.

The Green Bay Packers quarterback teamed up with Bryson DeChambeau to beat Brady and Phil Mickelson in “The Match” on Tuesday night from Big Sky, Montana.

Rodgers, the NFL’s reigning MVP, sank a putt on No. 16 to put his team up three holes with two to play.

Rodgers and DeChambeau were the pre-event favorites. The pair went up early, clawed back after falling down by a hole during the front nine and then closed out the victory with a dominant stretch on the back nine, which began with three straight wins on holes No. 10, 11 and 12. Rodgers sunk birdie putts on all three holes.

Although DeChambeau is the biggest hitter on the PGA Tour, the team actually took a number of Rodgers’ tee shots in the alternate shot format. And Rodgers was terrific on the greens, sinking several important putts after approach shots from DeChambeau.

During the event, Rodgers sidestepped questions about his future with the Packers.

Brady and the Buccaneers beat Rodgers and the Packers at Lambeau Field in the NFC title game in January and later went on to win the Super Bowl.
