Aaron Ramsey takes trip to watch Juventus ahead of summer transfer

Aaron Ramsey has paid a visit to new club Juventus ahead of his move from Arsenal this summer.

The Wales midfielder has already agreed to join the Italian giants as a free agent when his contract with the Gunners expires.

The 28-year-old has spent over a decade with the north London club after joining as a teenager from Cardiff City.

During his time at the Emirates Stadium, Ramsey made over 350 appearances and helped the club to two FA Cup wins.

Although Unai Emery's side are still to face Chelsea in the Europa League final, the midfielder has already played his last game for the club after injuring his hamstring during the second leg of the quarter-final win over Napoli.

With his season already over, Ramsey travelled to the Allianz Stadium to cheer on his new Juventus team-mates during their final home game of the campaign.

He was present as the already-crowned Serie A champions were held to a 1-1 draw by Champions League-chasing Atalanta.

Josip Ilicic put the visitors ahead before Mario Mandzukic equalised for Juventus ten minutes before the final whistle.

It was the last home match for Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri after the club confirmed that the Italian will leave his role at the end of the season.

The 51-year-old has led the Bianconeri to five successive Serie A titles and two Champions League finals - in 2015 and 2017 - since taking over from Antonio Conte in 2014.

Veteran defender Andrea Barzagli also said his goodbyes to the club's home fans, with the 38-year-old set to retire when the current campaign comes to a close.

Juventus end their season with a trip to Sampdoria next Sunday.
