Aaron Ramsey set to make Juventus debut against Tottenham in International Champions Cup

Aaron Ramsey is in line to make his debut for Juventus against Tottenham.

The new signing swapped north London for northern Italy this summer, arriving on a free transfer after 11 years with Arsenal.

But it will be a familiar foe he takes his first steps against in the Bianconeri colours as Juventus face Tottenham in the Champions Cup on Sunday, July 21, in Singapore.

Ramsey faced the media on Tuesday in his first press conference since his unveiling.

"When I knew Juventus were interested I couldn't refuse as they are a great club, one of the biggest in the world and to have the opportunity to come and play here is a dream," said Ramsey.

"And to play at the top level is a good challenge for me, to come over and experience a different way of life and a different culture, for me to take that in and embrace that and hopefully everything goes nicely over here."

He will wear the no.8 shirt at Juventus, recently vacated by Claudio Marchisio after nine years.

He added: "I wanted the number eight jersey I wore at Arsenal and, when it was free, I had to take it with both hands.

"I know Marchisio was an unbelievable player, grew up here, came all the way through and had a fantastic career. I spoke to him a couple of times.

"If I can emulate what he's brought and done for Juventus, I'll be pretty proud of that. I'm looking forward to wearing that jersey. I know it comes with responsibility but I'm ready for that as well."
