Juventus forward Federico Chiesa has assured former Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey that his future lies in Italy amid rumours of a return to the Gunners.
The Welshman left North London two years ago, making a switch to Turin after his contract at the Emirates Stadium came to an end.
He has not found life so easy with the Old Lady however, making just 33 starts for the Italian giants since his arrival having never quite managed to establish himself as a first team regular.
That has led to rumours that he could be set to return to the Premier League in the near future.
His name has inevitably been linked with Arsenal, with Ramsey having previously enjoyed a successful 11-year spell with the Gunners.
football.london understands that it is highly unlikely Mikel Arteta’s men will seal a deal for his signature but that has done little to dampen speculation.
Now, Ramsey’s club teammate Federico Chiesa has urged the Welshman to remain with Juventus ahead of the two players’ reunion as Wales do battle with Italy in the final group matches of Euro 2020.
He said: “Aaron’s a great friend of mine and absolutely a great player. He’s clever, technically strong and I appreciate him very much at Juventus.
“He had different injuries so he could not could not help the team as much as he wanted, but he is always competitive and has more to offer.”
Despite his lack of action with Juventus, Ramsey has still managed to add to his trophy haul in Italy having won Serie A, the Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa Italiana.
The 30-year-old still has two years left to run on his contract at the Juventus Stadium.
