Aaron Ramsey's agent responds to speculation of Andrea Pirlo's Juventus decision

Aaron Ramsey's representatives have hit back at suggestions that the Juventus midfielder is free to find a new club following Andrea Pirlo’s appointment as manager.

Reports on Monday had claimed that the Welshman was surplus to requirements after Pirlo replaced Maurizio Sarri as the club's new head coach.

Former Chelsea boss Sarri was sacked by the Serie A champions following their Champions League Round of 16 defeat to Lyon on Friday evening.

Ramsey ended his 11-year spell with Arsenal at the end of the 2018/19 season and signed a four-year deal in Turin.

The 29-year-old started just 11 league matches under Sarri last season, but with his wages reportedly as high as £400,000-a-week, there was speculation that Juventus were looking to offload the ex-Gunner.

However, his agency - Avid Sports and Entertainment Group - issued a response to the reports on their Twitter account.

Quote tweeting a story from BBC Sport, Ramsey's agency wrote: "#Nonsense", with a red cross emoji.

Ramsey established himself as a fan favourite during his time at the Emirates Stadium, after playing over 250 Premier League games for the club.

The Wales international netted the winning goals in two FA Cup finals during his time at the north London side.
