Aaron Ramsey names the difference between Arsenal and Juventus after summer transfer

Aaron Ramsey has spoken about how he felt he had to "prove" himself at Juventus following his Arsenal exit.

The Wales midfielder left Arsenal last summer on a free transfer after the expiring of his contract at the Emirates.

Ramsey officially joined Juventus on a four-year deal in July, having already put pen-to-paper in February.

The 29-year-old has enjoyed a mixed start to his career in Turin, after injury disrupted his pre-season preparations.

But the former Cardiff midfielder started to establish himself as a key player for Maurizio Sarri's side before matches were postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Ramsey started in Juve's last three league matches and scored in two of them - including the 2-0 home win over Inter Milan, which opened up a nine-point lead at the top of the table.

Speaking in October, Ramsey opened up on the different dynamic in the Juve dressing room, and how it compared to his experience at Arsenal.

"It was a bit different," he told BBC Sport.

"I was 17 then and had just come on to the scene so when I went into that Arsenal dressing room it was a daunting experience.

"Now I have to prove myself to my new team-mates, new staff and new fans. But I have been playing for a long time. I know what I am capable of doing. It is just of question of showing it."

The midfielder was also asked about how he felt to miss out on the Europa League final last season, after picking up a hamstring injury before the clash in Baku against Chelsea.

"Of course. I really wanted to finish off with Arsenal and play in the Europa League final. It wasn't meant to be.

"My next concern was how long it was going to be and how much of the pre-season I was going to get. It was very frustrating. I wanted to hit the ground running.

"But the medical staff here have been brilliant and helped me through.

"I am feeling good at the moment. I was very proud to get my first goal and played in three matches last week.

"There is still a lot more to improve on but hopefully I can continue to improve and get stronger, get physically better and have a successful season."
