With Everton's pre-season set to begin in a matter of days, Carlo Ancelotti will be keen to make his moves in the transfer market in time to get them ready for a new Premier League season.
The Blues need reinforcements in a number of areas and are not short of players being linked with a move to the club.
Here are the latest Everton transfer rumours and how they rate:
Aaron Ramsey
Who?
Welsh midfielder who recently left Arsenal on a free transfer to Serie A giants Juventus.
Where?
The Daily Mirror report the Wales international is surplus to requirements for new Juve manager Andrea Pirlo.
Former Gunner Ramsey apparently doesn't fit into his plans for the team, has been told he is free to find a new club and is being linked with Everton.
He's also being touted with a move to Newcastle but after their takeover fell through, their finances may not allow such a deal.
What?
If Ramsey were to leave Juventus a Premier League return would make sense.
Everton could be ideal as they look to reinforce their midfield.
However, a sticking point even before Ramsey left Arsenal was his wages. It could price out a few top flight English clubs out of a move.
Gabriel
Who?
Lille defender who has been the subject of a drawn out saga.
Where?
This one has rumbled on and on but should be coming to an end soon.
According to L'Equipe, as cited by GFFN, the Blues face competition from a whole host of sides in the race to sign the Brazilian.
Man United, Arsenal and Napoli are all said to be in the running with the side who pays €30m being described as the one likely to land the 22-year-old.
The player is reportedly expected to make a decision on his future this week.
What?
Everton will fear they'll end up losing out on this one.
With so many rivals also competing for his signature, and two of those sides believed to be interested being able to offer Champions League football next season, the Blues will do well to convince him to travel to Goodison Park.
Allan
Who?
Napoli midfielder
Where?
Yet another midfielder from Serie A being linked with Everton.
Transfer rumours about Allan have persisted for a while though, with Carlo Ancelotti tipped for a reunion with one of his former players.
Sportwitness cite reports that an offer has been made but is €5m short of the Italian club’s valuation.
What?
Allan fits the bill of one of the players on Everton's shopping lists this summer and he could become a focal point of the midfield next season.
Any player coming in who Ancelotti is already familiar with should be seen as a positive. If an offer has been made, it would be a shame for the Blues to miss out by €5m.
