Aaron Ramsey latest as Arsenal boss Unai Emery gives positive injury update after fears he'd played last game for Gunners

Arsenal boss Unai Emery has revealed that Welsh midfielder Aaron Ramsey is hopeful of playing for the Gunners again before the end of the season.

The 28-year old limped out of Thursday's Europa League clash with Napoli with a suspected hamstring injury , sparking concerns that he may have played his last game for the club.

Speaking ahead of his side's clash with Crystal Palace on Sunday, Emery revealed that he'd spoken with Ramsey, adding that the player himself seems confident of a return.

He said: "The last matches, his performances have been amazing and helping us a lot in the key moments this season.

That timescale would see Ramsey potentially return in time for Arsenal's Europa League semi-final second leg against Valencia, as well as the club's final league game against Burnley on  May 12.

It would also help ease any concerns from Wales boss Ryan Giggs, whose side face a crucial double header of UEFA Euro 2020 qualifiers against Croatia and Hungary at the beginning of June.
