Aaron Ramsey injury: Unai Emery fears Arsenal star faces 'weeks' out

Arsenal boss Unai Emery says he does not know whether midfielder Aaron Ramsey has played his last game for the club, after the Welshman limped off injured in their Europa League win over Napoli.

Ramsey went down with what appeared to be a hamstring injury in the first-half of the 1-0 win that saw the Gunners reach the Europa League semi-final, and had to be replaced by Henrik Mkhitaryan.

The 28-year-old will leave Arsenal when his contract expires at the end of the season, having already agreed a deal to join Italian giants Juventus, but despite his imminent departure has been a key part of Emery’s side in recent weeks.

With a maximum of seven games left for the Gunners this term, there are fears that Ramsey’s campaign could be over, but Emery insisted it was too early to say whether his number eight would be seen again in an Arsenal shirt.

“I don’t know,” Emery said, when asked whether Ramsey had played his final game for the club. “It’s a muscular injury and normally it’s going to be some weeks outside the team.

“But we have other players and we can find a performance and rotate players.”
