Aaron Ramsey breaks down in tears as he says goodbye to Arsenal fans

Aaron Ramsey gave a tearful farewell to Arsenal fans as he prepares to move to Juventus at the end of the season.

The Wales international was at the Emirates Stadium for Arsenal's final Premier League home game, which saw the Gunners' top four hopes all but ended as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Brighton.

Ramsey, who joined the Gunners as a teenager in 2008, has already played his last game for the club after injuring his hamstring against Napoli during their Europa League quarter-final in April.

However, the 28-year-old was still present for Arsenal's last league home game of the season and received a guard of honour after the match alongside Petr Cech and Danny Welbeck, who are also leaving North London this summer.

Arsenal reveal Danny Welbeck leaving Gunners in shock announcement

Following the final whistle, Gunners fans rose to their feet to give Ramsey an emotional send-off, leaving the Welshman in tears as he saluted the crowd.

Ramsey already paid tribute to the club's supporters last week after confirmation that he had played his last game for Unai Emery's side.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, he wrote: "It saddens me to say that the game against Napoli was my last game in an Arsenal shirt.

"Unfortunately it left me with an injury that rules me out of the remaining games. I am really disappointed not to play until the end and give everything for the club while I am still an Arsenal player. Unfortunately it’s out of my hands but I wanted to say thank you to the fans for your support.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer makes shock statement about Man Utd's top four failure

"It has been a journey, on and off the field, and so much has happened in 11 years. I was a spotty young kid coming in and I’m leaving a man, married, father of three boys and full of pride and good memories that I will treasure.

"It will be emotional this weekend - my last game at home. I look forward to seeing you there and thank you all again from the bottom of my heart for everything."
