Aaron Phypers has spoken out after his arrest in Los Angeles, denying the accusations made by his estranged wife, Denise Richards, and insisting they are completely false.
The 53-year-old was taken into custody at the courthouse following a hearing related to Denise’s restraining order against him. His representative confirmed that Aaron was arrested near the end of the court session on October 17 and was later released on bail.
In a statement shared with Us Weekly, Aaron’s team firmly denied the charges. “We believe the charges are based on the same false accusations Denise brought up in the domestic violence case, which she claims happened almost four years ago,” the statement read. “We expect the evidence will prove Aaron’s innocence and that he will be cleared.”

Denise’s lawyer told the outlet that Aaron had been charged with spousal abuse. According to eyewitnesses, Aaron appeared stunned when officers approached him in court and led him away. Denise, who was present at the time, reportedly remained calm as she spoke with her legal team.
Aaron’s lawyer, Michael Finley, explained that his client’s arrest was likely connected to an old warrant, possibly related to the abuse claims. However, he stressed that Aaron had fully cooperated with authorities and was confident the truth would eventually come to light.
Earlier this year, Denise, 54, publicly accused her estranged husband of domestic violence. Aaron has consistently denied these accusations and maintains that they are entirely untrue.
