Aaron Judge Might Be the Best Free Card in MLB The Show History

MLB The Show 25 just dropped a monster new card, and players are already dubbing it as one of the best free cards ever released. The postseason 99 Overall Diamond card for Yankees superstar Aaron Judge is an absolute powerhouse. This card can be unlocked through the new Postseason Collection rather than through paid packs.

Why The Aaron Judge Postseason Card Is So Good

The postseason program is broken into two brackets. It starts with ALDS (American League Division Series) and NLDS (National League Division Series) content. Both programs have their own Moments, stat missions, and objectives. As you progress through these programs and collect players from each series, they feed into the 2025 Postseason Collection. The postseason Aaron Judge card is the first reward.

Offensively, this card features 125 Contact versus both righties and lefties. You also get 90 Vision, max Discipline, and max Clutch, making him one of the most dominant hitters in the game. Defensively, he’s also very robust with 94 Fielding, 92 Arm Strength, and 87 Reaction Time. This makes him highly capable of shutting down extra-base hits and gunning down runners with ease.

His 66 Speed and 33 Steal ratings mean he’s not going to lead your team in stolen bases. However, his raw combination of size, raw power, and defensive consistency makes him one of the most complete players in Diamond Dynasty. Additionally, his quirks lineup, including Dead Red and Bad Ball Hitter, further adds to his appeal. His height is the only issue, as some argue that his strike zone might be too large an area to cover, especially at higher levels of difficulty like Legend.

Players agree that this card is ridiculous, and it would be foolish not to try him. Some argue that they should have nerfed his arm strength a bit due to the injury, but we won’t argue against an obviously OP card. It’s a good day for Yankees fans and anyone else who loves building god-tier rosters.
