Aaron Judge fired a laser throw to turn a crucial double play

Down 1-0 at home, the Houston Astros got off to an ideal start in the bottom of the fifth inning by drawing a walk off Yankees starter Masahiro Tanaka. DH Yordan Alvarez, who hit .316 in the ALDS against the Rays, followed up by hitting a hard line drive to right field that was caught by Aaron Judge, and the Yankees star took advantage of a slip by Alex Bregman to immediately take all the pressure off his pitcher

From just a few steps off the warning track in deep right-center, Judge unleashed an 87.8 mph throw, according to Fox, that bounced into DJ LeMahieu’s glove just before Bregman was able to get back to the base.

Tanaka needed just two more pitches to get out of the inning, and the Yankees’ explosive offense followed up with a pair of solo home runs from Gleyber Torres and Giancarlo Stanton to extend the lead to 3-0. Yankees fans were loving it.
