Aaron Jones scores pair of TDs, gives Packers early 14-0 lead in Dallas

A pair of touchdown runs from running back Aaron Jones has the Green Bay Packers up 14-0 on the Dallas Cowboys after one quarter at AT&T Stadium.

Jones first scored from 18 yards out on the Packers’ second drive, capping off a possession that began with a Jaire Alexander interception. He scored again from three yards out late in the first quarter, extending the Packers’ lead to 14-0.

Jones, an El Paso, Texas native, turned seven first-quarter touches into 63 yards and the two scores.

The Packers already have 46 rushing yards.

Aaron Rodgers has been sharp to begin the game, completing 9-of-11 passes for 106 yards. His best throw came on a 23-yard completion to tight end Robert Tonyan down the far sideline. It was a perfect throw, and Tonyan made a terrific catch.
