Aaron Jones, Josh Jackson return to Packers practice on Saturday

Two important members of the Green Bay Packers roster returned to practice Saturday after prolonged absences.

Running back Aaron Jones and cornerback Josh Jackson were both in pads and participating to start Saturday’s practice, the first since the Packers’ preseason opener against the Houston Texans on Thursday night.

Jones has been out since July 31 with a hamstring injury. Jackson, who arrived at training camp with a foot injury, is practicing for the first time since the start of camp.

The Packers also got back center Corey Linsley, who was out with a biceps injury, and Josh Jones, who missed Thursday’s preseason opener with an unspecified injury.

The injury news wasn’t all good. Linebacker Oren Burks (chest) and defensive lineman Kingsley Keke (quad) both missed Saturday’s practice with new injuries. Burks departed Thursday night’s game after colliding with Texans quarterback Joe Webb.

Receiver Trevor Davis (stinger), cornerback Kevin King (hamstring), running back Jamaal Williams (hamstring), tight end Jace Sternberger (concussion) and defensive lineman Fadol Brown (calf) remain out with existing injuries.

Coach Matt LaFleur will address the media and likely provide more details about the new injuries after practice.
