Aaron Hickey transfer latest as Hearts star wants Bologna 'assurances' in writing

Aaron Hickey is on the verge of a move to Bologna but wants assurances that he will receive first team football.

Corriere di Bologna are saying the Serie A side have agreed a £1.8million fee with Hearts for the transfer of Hickey.

Bayern Munich and Aston Villa are also keen on the youngster, but the prospect of playing regular football has put Bologna in pole position.

The Italians are confident they can provide the youngster with those guarantees, but Corriere dello Sport claim Hickey wants it in writing.

The same report says Hickey wants a number of clauses inserted in his contract so he has the option to find a new club incase he struggles to find the game time that is promised to him.

Munich had offered Hickey a VIP tour of the Bayern Munich training facilities as they looked to seal his signature.
