Aaron Hickey transfer latest as Hearts set to receive '£1.5m bid' from Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich are set to table a '£1.5million bid' for Hearts youngster Aaron Hickey.

The German side and Bologna are in a two-way battle for the teenager's signature as the left-back looks set to leave Tynecastle this summer.

And the Daily Record claim Bayern will make an official approach in the next 48 hours as they try and fend off the Serie A side.

The Champions League finalists are clear front runners for Hicket after reports they offered him a lucrative five-year deal.

But Bologna aren't going to give up without a fight as they try and lure him to Italy with the promise of first team football.

Sky Sports' Italian reporter Gianluca Di Marzio claim the Serie A club made fresh contact with Hickey's camp and are going 'above and beyond' in a bid to push a deal closer.

He said: "The player has already visited Bologna's training ground, but the Emiliani face strong competition from Bayern Munich.

"Sinisa Mihajlovic's club is going above and beyond in the hope that the player accepts their offer which is why there was new contact made today."

And it seems Bayern have been alerted by Bologna's renewed interest and are ready to thrash out a deal to finally seal a move for the Hearts rising star.
