Aaron Hickey named one of the world's best young players as former Hearts kid tipped for the top

Scotland youth international Aaron Hickey has been named as one of the world's top 50 under-20 talents.

The former Hearts youngster made his debut at just 16 and earned a prestigious move to Serie A in the summer.

The 18-year-old was signed by Bologna and has made 10 appearances in the Italian top flight, facing the likes of Lazio and Inter.

Hickey is working under a former left-back in Sinisa Mihajlovic and French sports newspaper L'Équipe has tipped him for the top.

The defender has been named in their top 50 talents under 20, coming in at 45 in the list.

Hickey is in some prestigious company with the likes of Barcelona rising talent Ansu Fati and Mason Greenwood of Manchester United.
