Celtic have made a move to sign Aaron Hickey in a €4million move this summer, according to a report.
The former Hearts defender has impressed in Italy with Bologna but is a boyhood Celtic fan and Ange Postecoglou wants to bring him back to Scotland.
Celtic tried to sign him last summer but he had already agreed to join Bologna and could decide to stick around in Italy instead of moving back home.
Italian paper il Resto del Carlino say the left back has been the subject of a bid already made and it would be worth €4m (£3.5m) if it was to be done this summer.
Hickey was recently nominated for the Golden Boy award and was named alongside some of Europe's best young footballers.
And he has spoke about potentially returning to Celtic this summer as he admitted he had heard the rumours but was ignoring them and keeping focused.
Speaking last month, he said: “Well I am fully aware that there has been interest.
“I can see it all – but I have just got to keep my head down and keep my full focus on Bologna just now.”
Hickey started his career in the youth academy at Celtic Park before joining Hearts and then making the move abroad.
