Aaron Donald is coming off his second straight season winning Defensive Player of the Year, helping the Los Angeles Rams reach the Super Bowl. He etched his name into the record books along the way, recording the most sacks in team history and the most ever by a defensive tackle (20.5).
Most players would take some time off after the sort of campaign, but not Donald. He’s cut from a different cloth, and it’s why he’s arguably the best player in football. Since the end of the season, he’s been working out constantly, mostly back home in Pittsburgh.
On Friday, he showed everyone the results of his hard work. He shared a photo on Instagram of himself, Steelers running back James Conner, former Buccaneers defensive end Will Clarke and Bengals wideout Tyler Boyd.
As you can see, Donald might just be in the best shape of his life – and that’s saying something. Somehow, he looks even more fit than he did after the Rams locked up the NFC West back in early December.
If anyone is doubting Donald can win Defensive Player of the Year for a third straight time – which would be the first time ever – think again.
