Aaron Connolly out of Brighton's clash with Leicester with groin injury

The groin injury that kept Aaron Connolly out of Ireland's vital Euro 2020 qualifier against Denmark has ruled him out of Leicester City's visit to Brighton on Saturday.

Connolly, 19, suffered the injury during Brighton's 3-1 defeat to Manchester United almost a fortnight ago, and that ruled him out of the international friendly against New Zealand and the 1-1 draw with the Danes last Monday night.

The Dubliner will sit out the clash with Leicester, who are currently second in the Premier League table behind Liverpool, but Connolly does hope to return for the trip to the table-toppers at Anfield on November 30.

Brighton head coach Graham Potter said: "We have got Aaron Connolly missing the game, still with his groin from Manchester United.

"We hope he will be available for Liverpool but not for this one".
