Aaron Carter has worried fans after he was hospitalised with worrying weight loss during a period of personal drama in his life.
The 31-year-old singer posted a photo on Instagram on Thursday which showed him lying in a hospital bed while hooked up to an IV.
It would seem from the pic that he has suffered a reasonable amount of weight loss.
Aaron geo-tagged the snap which indicated that he was at the Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast, which is a medical centre in Destin, Florida.
The singer, who lives in Southern California, captioned the post: "Mommas gonna take care of me."
E! News has reported that Aaron is suffering exhaustion after having a hectic schedule and has been advised to rest for a few days.
Hours before the worrying pic, Aaron had delved into his past to post a throwback pic of him performing on stage.
He indicated that he was coming back under the wing of his mother, Jane Carter, who had managed his and brother Nick Carter's careers previously.
He captioned the pic: "To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment. - My Mom is back. #Manager."
Jane, for her part, announced on Aaron's Twitter page: "I'm handlin socials for my son till he recoverers... -mamma jane."
Aaron had recently shared a video on Instagram Live in which he is seen driving through Florida during the night, alongside his mother.
He expressed concerns about his health and that he had had a stressful day.
Aaron went on to say that he only weighed "12 pounds" and that his mother was going to feed him up with three meals a day.
He added: "Finally I can go to sleep at night and feel comfortable."
Aaron has a close relationship with his mum and recently raised a few eyebrows when he locked lips with his mum on the red carpet.
He had taken his mother to the premiere of WE's Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars Family Edition.
He could be seen kissing his mother Jane for the photographers, then stroking her face with his hand.
Aaron, 31, told Entertainment Tonight : "This is the love of my life right here".
Getting ready for the glitzy premiere, Aaron posted a photo of himself in his tux, which he captioned: "I’m going to my first prom tonight. Date Night With My Mom.
