SHIMLA: The state executive of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of Himachal Pradesh has been dissolved. A new executive committee will be formed soon. Delhi health minister and AAP’s state election in-charge Satyendra Jain gave this information on Monday late evening through a tweet.
On Monday itself, AAP had received another setback when its state Mahila morcha president Mamta Thalur along with four other office bearers of party joined BJP in Delhi. Earlier, AAP’s state president and State Organisational Secretary had joined BJP.
Beside Mamta Thakur, others who joined BJP includes Mahila Morcha vice president Sonia Bindal and Sangeeta, state president of industries Wing D K Tyagi and state vice president of Social Media Department Ashish Kumar . They all joined BJP in New Delhi in the presence of Union Minister Anurag Singh Thakur.
Former AAP state president Anoop Kesari who had joined BJP recently was also present. All these leaders after joining BJP, alleged that due to anti Himachal stance of AAP’s national convener Arvind Kejriwal they have left the party to join BJP.
Following Monday’s development, AAP announced to dissolve its state executive late evening. AAP’s state election incharge Satyendra Jain in a statement said that party units at assembly constituency level would continue to function as usual while the new state executive would be constituted soon after consulting the party workers.
