Bollywood star Aamir Khan is back in the headlines after rumours ran wild about the tentative title for his next big film venture. After the failure of his film 'Laal Singh Chadha', recent reports have that surfaced online, suggest that Khan's next project has been tentatively titled 'Sitaare Zameen Par'.
This title and its similarity to the title of Aamir's blockbuster hit 'Taare Zameen Par' has sparked a flurry of speculation among fans, with a bit of trolling from social media users.
According to a report on Pinkvilla, the plot of the film is said to revolve around a sports coach who forms a deep connection with a team of specially-abled children, echoing the heartwarming narrative of 'Taare Zameen Par.' The resonance between the two films in terms of interpersonal relationships and character evolution is reportedly what led Aamir and the creative team to select the title 'Sitaare Zameen Par.'
While the title remains tentative, it has already given way to some trolling with social media users commenting, "Why does it sound like cheap copy of Taare Zameen Par?"
While another also questioned, "Is it a sequel or remake of Taare Zameen par?"
"After remaking Hollywood film, now he is stealing his own film title," read another comment.
"Aamir itna remake kyu karna lag gaya achanak se?" asked another fan.
Some others debated over the film being a remake of the 2018 Spanish film 'Champions', which was recently remade in 2022 into a Hollywood film by the same name. The Woody Harrelson starrer is a heartwarming story of a former minor-league basketball coach who, after a series of missteps, is ordered by the court to manage a team of players with intellectual disabilities. He soon realizes that despite his doubts, together, this team can go further than they ever imagined.
