After impressing one and all with her directorial debut, ‘Dhobi Ghat’ in 2011, Kiran Rao is all set with her next, ‘Laapataa Ladies’. The film is being produced by her ex-husband Aamir Khan.
The teaser of the film was attached to ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ and was supposed to release on March 3. However, the release has now been delayed. Though the filming was completed in the first quarter of 2022, the makers are taking time with the post-production and other aspects. A new release date shall be announced soon, the report in Bollywood Hungama stated.
The report further added that Aamir is devoted to the film along with Kiran. Both are going through the feedback that they have got from focus screenings and are also working on the marketing aspect. ‘Laapataa Ladies’ is reportedly not the usual mainstream film. Cinema going behaviour has undergone a change post-pandemic. But Aamir and his team are working towards ensuring that they promote their work well in such a way that the audiences will be tempted to see it in cinemas.
