A KEY Highland road is "to be closed for some time" after a single vehicle crash.

The A93 route in Perth and Kinross closed on Tuesday morning, with Police Scotland officers in attendance to assist motorists.

It is closed at Isla Bridge, Meikleour, following a single-vehicle crash.

Emergency services were called around 1.35am.

Police Scotland said: "The road is expected to be closed for some time and motorists are urged to use an alternative route."
