Police in Fife are appealing for information following a crash on the A92 after a woman was rushed to hospital with neck injuries.
As reported by Edinburgh Live, the incident happened at around 3pm on Thursday afternoon (27 February) between Kilmany and the Five Roads Roundabout.
According to police, the smash involved a Mini and a Nissan who were forced to take "evasive action" due to other motorists.
A 43-year-old woman was rushed to Ninewells hospital in Dundee with back and neck injuries.
A local Facebook traffic and travel page, called Fife Jammers location, shared a photo from the scene, writing: "A92 closed north of Kilmany both directions following accident.
"Road is covered in run off soil from recent rain, very dangerous, use caution."
Sergeant Paul Hunter from Cupar Police Station said: “We are eager to trace the driver of a silver or grey Mercedes car, which is possibly a newer shape and the registration may contain the letters VDR or similar, to help with our investigation into the crash.
"We are also appealing for any dash-cam footage of the incident or of the Mercedes car both before and after the crash or any other information that will help with our enquiries."
